Benefits of Epsom Salt Baths

Benefits of Epsom Salt Baths

Who doesn’t love a bath? But did you know it’s actually one of the easiest ways to help rid the body of toxins?

Yes, you can help improve your health while you relax in the tub. It’s simple, easy, and inexpensive.

No matter how hard we try there isn’t a way to completely avoid toxins. Toxins are everywhere: in the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the beauty products we use. Detoxification is our body’s natural way to metabolize and rid our body of these harmful chemicals, but there is definitely a limit to what the body can do alone.

Even if we could eat perfect all the time and be super cautious about all our personal care products there are still toxins in the air and our stress levels sometimes get out of control, which releases free radicals our body then has to process. Our bodies are naturally wired to cleanse the body. However, the problem is we often are on toxin-overload.

According to GlobalHealingCenter, we might be  exposed to 2,100,000 toxins every day through the products we use and the environment around us. According to BeautyCounter, “The average American woman puts between 12 and 20 chemicals on their skin 365 days a year.” According to EWG, companies can add many toxins to personal care products without adding them to the label. Our bodies must be working on overdrive to help keep us healthy! We can help our bodies detoxify by using Epsom salts!

Benefits of EpsomSalt- www.JuliaNicholson.comEpsom salts have so many benefits for our bodies. Epsom salts are different from other salts because Epsom salts are are a compound of magnesium and sulfate. Magnesium is actually really good for our bodies and using Epsom salts can help our bodies get the magnesium they need to help our muscle control, energy production, and toxin elimination. Stress can be one result of an magnesium deficiency, and taking a bath or even dipping your feet in Epsom salts and water helps us reduce stress by balancing out our magnesium levels AND chilling in the bath! Adding Epsom salts to your bath also helps pull toxins out of your skin because of the sulfates in the Epsom salts. This helps your body regulate the toxin release from your body. An Epsom salt bath can also help with muscle soreness and joint pain, which can be quite a relief and a benefit for your active lifestyle.

Epsom salt is readily available at many drugstores, and the packs are usually in the section with rubbing alcohols. Epsom salts are also inexpensive, making it an affordable addition to your healthy routine.
